What it does

A viewer sees everything and changes nothing

Every person in your organisation has one of three roles. In the portal's words: a viewer sees everything and changes nothing; an operator does the day-to-day work; an owner does everything, including people and settings.

Your organisation sees only its own sites, devices, people and history. Nothing from another organisation is visible, and nothing of yours is visible to anyone else.

Every change is recorded in the audit log: who did it, what changed, when, and from where.

How you use it

Invite, enrol, check the log

  1. Invite people by email

An owner opens Team, enters an email address and chooses the role. The person gets a link to choose their own password. It works once, for seven days, and lands them in your organisation with the role you chose.

  2. Sign in with an authenticator app

Two-factor sign-in uses any authenticator app. Owners must enrol before their account can do anything. Tick Remember this device and that browser skips the code for 30 days; the password is still needed every time.

  3. Read the audit log

Every change is listed with when it happened, the action, what it was done to, the detail and where it came from. Sign-in failures and switched-off protections are marked so a scan of the page finds them.

The details

What an IT reviewer will ask

Owners
Everything, including people and settings: inviting and removing people, branding, report delivery and billing. Owners must use two-factor sign-in.
Operators
The day-to-day work: sites, devices, boxes, monitoring and dealers. Operators cannot invite people or change the organisation's settings.
Viewers
Viewers can read everything and change nothing. The portal refuses a viewer who tries, so a viewer's sign-in cannot be used to alter a site.
Invitations
Only an owner can invite. The link works once, for seven days, and the account lands in the organisation and role on the invitation. Open invitations can be re-sent or withdrawn.
Two-factor sign-in
A code from an authenticator app. Required for owners before their account can act; available to everyone.
Remembered devices
A browser you tick Remember this device on skips the code for 30 days. Under Sign-in & security you see every remembered browser and can forget one or all of them.
Sessions
A sign-in session lasts at most 12 hours. Passwords are stored as Argon2id hashes, not as plain text.
The audit log
Every change, with who, what, when and from where, for every site. Branding and report delivery changes are recorded too, as is every acknowledgement of an alert. Failed sign-ins, lock-outs and switched-off protections are highlighted.
Dealer tags
Tag each site with the dealer you sell through. The Dealers page shows each dealer's sites, boxes and connections, so you can re-bill your own dealers. Dealers do not sign in and see nothing.

What it does not do

Three limits, by design

Dealers do not sign in

A dealer tag is a label your organisation keeps for its own invoicing. It gives the dealer no account, no sign-in and no view of any site.

A viewer changes nothing

A viewer sees everything and changes nothing. Operators do the day-to-day work. Only owners invite people and change settings.

Your organisation sees only its own

Your people see your own sites, devices, people and history, and nothing of any other organisation.
