What it does

One report per site, written for your client

On the first of each month, the portal produces a report for the month before, for every site with a box. You can also produce one on demand for the current month or the last 30 days.

Each report names the site, the period and an overall status: Healthy, Fair or Needs attention. It is laid out as a site monitoring report, with a running header, a details table, numbered sections and a confidential footer.

  • A summary with service levels and an overall assessment
  • Connection uptime and device availability, with a chart by day
  • Every monitored device: availability, outages, the longest one
  • An incident register: when, how long, the cause, when you were alerted
  • Observations and recommendations in plain language
  • No names and no email addresses: it is written for your client

A sample report page assembles: a header, a chart of availability by day, and a table of equipment. The report is a sample with invented content. How you use it

Brand it, choose who receives it, read it on the first

  1. Put your name on it

Under Reports → Branding, upload your logo and set your display name, accent colour, contact details, a footer line and an introduction. A live preview shows page one as you type. Download a sample PDF shows the whole thing.

  2. Choose who receives it

Under Delivery, add your team's addresses and switch on Email reports on the 1st of each month. A client receives a report only when you switch client delivery on and add that client's address to their site.

  3. Read it on the first, or preview it now

Last month's report for every site is on the Reports page on the first of the month. For the current month, Preview now. Send me a test emails a report to your own address only.

The details

What a control room needs to know

The status words
A site is Healthy when its connection and its devices were both up almost all month. It Needs attention when either fell well short, or a critical alert was still open at the end. Otherwise it is Fair. Each is a word, so it reads in black and white.
Your branding
Your logo (PNG or JPEG), display name, accent colour, contact details, a footer line and an introduction. "Produced with Relayant" can be switched off. The same branding dresses the portal, invitation emails and alert emails.
To your team
Reports are emailed to the addresses you list, with a portfolio summary for your own management: every site on one PDF, worst first.
To your clients, only when you say so
A report goes to a client only when client delivery is on and that client's address is on the site. A client gets their own site's report and nothing else.
How quickly you were alerted
The report shows how quickly your control room was alerted after each fault was confirmed. Set your own response target and the report measures acknowledgements against it.
Handled in your monitoring software
An incident you dealt with in your own monitoring software is shown as such, not as unacknowledged.
Kept on the Reports page
Reports stay on the Reports page. A report's figures do not change after it is produced; a new logo applies to old reports when you download them again.
Which plan
Monthly reports are part of the Relay + Alerts plan, with alerts, alarm signals, webhooks and acknowledge links.

What it does not do

Three things a reviewer will ask about

It does not judge the picture

The report says whether each device answered, for how long it did not, and why. Video content, picture quality and recording are not checked: that needs the device's login, which we do not hold.

It does not invent acknowledgements

Alarm signalling to your monitoring software is one way. Acknowledgements made there are not reported back, so the report shows those incidents as handled in your software, not as late.

It gives clients no sign-in

A client receives a PDF by email and nothing more. There is no client sign-in to the portal, and the report names none of your people and carries no email addresses.
